Job summary
Amey is offering a Civil Engineer Summer Intern position in Crawley within the CAFA team of Amey's Transport Infrastructure Business Unit. You will work on structural assessments, calculations and inspections, gaining practical industry insight and hands-on experience.
You will be studying Civil Engineering, may hold or be working towards a UK driving licence, and will benefit from mentoring and a structured development programme with potential to apply for our Graduate Programme after your
Qualifications
- Currently studying for a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Full UK driving licence, or working towards obtaining one.
- Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement.
Responsibilities
- Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
- Proposing strengthening and maintenance options.
- Planning and undertaking bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
- Developing innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
- Prepare technical drawings and reports.
