Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting for a Graduate Civil Engineer on a 2-year permanent programme across Northern locations in the UK. Starting salary is £31,000 per year, with a potential £4,750 car allowance, and progression toward an assistant-level role with salary potential around £38k.

Starting in September 2027, the scheme offers exposure to on-site and design-based work, with assessment days nationwide and relocation flexibility within the region.

Qualifications

• ICE-accredited degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Recent graduate (within 3 years) eligible for the scheme.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of project designs, plans and specifications.
• Support development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specs, safety standards and quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and provide project updates.
