Amey in Belfast is offering a Graduate Civil Engineer position within our Highways & Transportation Practice. Starting salary £31,000, 40-hour weeks, and a September 2027 start date.

You will join a team delivering national and local highway projects, supported by mentors, with opportunities to work with National Highways, Transport Scotland, and NI Department for Infrastructure. Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
• Teamwork and effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
• Civil/Structural engineering degree with at least a 2:1 grade was the stated requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/ contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines.
• Deliver robust designs to enable safe, efficient asset management.
