Job summary

Amey is offering an Industry Placement in Civil Engineering based in Belfast. The role involves supporting a team of engineers to deliver highway schemes and contribute to reports, designs and client briefs. Start date September 2027, 40 hours per week, with a starting salary of £26,582.

A UK driving licence is required as part of the placement. We’re looking for enthusiastic students currently studying Civil/Structural Engineering who are keen to learn, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams,

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop engineering skills.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Currently pursuing a Civil/Structural Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team to deliver a portfolio of highway schemes.
• Contribute to technical reports, design proposals and client presentations.
• Support delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software to model and analyse options and performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and professionals.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that meet industry standards.
