Job summary

Amey is seeking a Civil Engineer Graduate to join the NMC SW team in Glasgow. Whether you are finishing university or seeking the next step, this program offers mentoring, structured learning, and a guaranteed permanent role on completion.

Starting salary is £30,000 per annum, with a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri) and a July 2027 start. The two-year Graduate Pathway includes guidance toward a professional qualification and a long-term career within Amey.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Passion for developing your skills, both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake specialist investigations.
• Assist with preparing technical documents and reports.
• Maintain high technical standards consistent with the project scope/brief.
• Provide design and specialist advice in relevant specialisms, e.g. pavements.
• Use of Transport Scotland’s Asset Management Performance System (AMPS) for scheme identification, development and recording of maintenance intervention.
• Assist the project manager with project related correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist the project manager with Technical Workshops to discuss complex schemes and treatment proposals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety Legislation (CDM2015).
• Ensure compliance at all times with the operating company's management system.
