Job summary

Amey is offering a Civil Engineer Graduate role with the NMC NE team based in Perth. Starting salary is £30,000 per annum, with a two-year graduate pathway that includes mentoring and development, and a guaranteed permanent position on completion.

The role provides structured learning, potential for a relevant professional qualification, and a supportive environment across UK projects. Start date is July 2027, with standard working hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake specialist investigations.
• Assist with preparing technical documents and reports.
• Maintain high technical standards consistent with the project scope/brief.
• Provide design and specialist advice in relevant specialisms, e.g. pavements.
• Use Transport Scotland's Asset Management Performance System (AMPS) for scheme identification, development and recording of maintenance intervention.
• Assist the project manager with project related correspondence from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist the project manager with Technical Workshops to discuss complex schemes and treatment proposals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety Legislation (CDM2015).
• Ensure compliance at all times with the operating company's management system.
