Job summary

Amey is offering a Graduate Civil Engineer position in Motherwell, starting September 2027. The role is within our Highways & Transportation Practice, supporting a team delivering major highway projects across the UK.

You will assist with technical reports, designs and client presentations, develop practical engineering solutions, and work with multidisciplinary teams. A Civil/Structural Engineering degree 2:1+ and a full UK driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree at 2:1 or above.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and contribute to technical reports, design proposals and client presentations.
• Support delivery of highway engineering projects for national and local clients.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software to model and analyse options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, drainage and pavements.
