Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is offering an office-based early careers development programme for graduates in civil engineering. You will work on live projects within a large multidisciplinary team, with both design and site support, to deliver practical and safe design solutions.

The role is aimed at graduates or near graduates with a degree in Civil Engineering and a commitment to pursuing Chartered status through our internal scheme.

Qualifications

• Graduated or due to graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering (BEng) or a post graduate qualification (MSc).
• Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
• Considered approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering designs and calculations.
• Produce technical and commercial specifications, drawings and schedules.
• Work closely and collaboratively with the construction team to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions throughout the design stages, into construction and beyond.
• Prepare designer risk assessments, health & safety risk assessments, and associated documents and reports.
• Engage and collaborate with the Client, managing relationships and adopting a One-Team approach.
