Job summary

Stantec is offering a Graduate Civil Engineer apprenticeship in Bristol within our Buildings discipline. You will join a team of civil and structural engineers, supporting drainage, highways and earthworks design while gaining exposure to clients and site inspections.

The role emphasizes professional development toward IEng or CEng with ICE, and you will collaborate across MEP, geotechnical and architectural teams in the South West and nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365/Office and AutoCAD is essential.
• Interest in working in the Buildings sector and developing professional accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drainage, highways, parking layouts and earthworks design.
• Produce drawings, calculations, specifications and design reports.
• Contribute to site inspections, client interactions and project meetings.
• Create 3D drainage and highway models and coordinate with other designers.
• Develop design reports to communicate concepts to a wide audience.
• Support 3D earthworks models to balance cut/fill and reduce waste.
