Job summary

Amey is offering a Civil Engineer Graduate position in the CAFA team based in Crawley. You will embark on a two-year graduate pathway with mentoring, structured learning, and development to support your professional growth, leading toward a permanent role.

The role starts in September 2027 in Crawley, with a 37.5-hour week and involvement in bridge inspection and structural assessments across national projects. A starting salary is provided with review.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) requirement.
• Applicants must pass a PTS Medical for this role.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine the structural load carrying capacity of a variety of structures.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
