Job summary

Amey is seeking a Graduate Bridges and Civil Structures Engineer in Manchester. You will join a team delivering infrastructure projects with National Highways and Network Rail, and develop practical skills from day one.

You’ll undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations, create 3D models and drawings, assist with inspections and asset management, and contribute to data and digital technology innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering (Minimum Grade 2:1)
• An interest in bridges / civil structures
• A commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an experienced team, working on some of the most exciting and challenging projects across the UK and internationally.
• Help develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
• Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring, and supervision of works
• Contribute to the development and implementation of world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
