Job summary

Amey in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Bridges and Civil Structures Engineer to support a range of national and international projects. You’ll be involved from investigation through design, supervision and asset management, learning from industry experts.

You’ll develop practical, sustainable solutions, perform structural analysis and prepare drawings, 3D models and technical documents, with mentored progression toward professional accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering – (Minimum Grade 2:1)
• An interest in bridges / civil structures
• A commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Be part of an experienced team, working on exciting projects across the UK and internationally.
• Help develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility, concept and detailed design, construction supervision and asset management.
• Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring, and supervision of works
• Contribute to the development and implementation of world-class data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
