Amey Ltd in York is offering a Graduate Bridges and Civil Structures Engineer role. Location: York. Salary: £31,000. Start Date: September 2027. You will work within our Consulting team alongside National Highways and Network Rail to deliver engineering and sustainability solutions across the UK.

As a graduate, you’ll contribute from day one, learning from industry experts and developing skills in analysis, design and asset management while advancing Amey’s infrastructure projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1).
• Interest in bridges / civil structures.
• Commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Work on exciting projects across the UK and internationally.
• Develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures; from investigation to optioneering, feasibility and detailed design.
• Undertake structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, structural health monitoring and supervision of works.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of data, analytics and digital technology solutions.
