Job summary

AECOM in Croydon, England is hiring a Graduate Bridge Structures Engineer to contribute to UK and international projects as part of the Bridges and Structures team. The role focuses on delivering design, assessment and renewal studies from inception to completion.

Graduates will experience a comprehensive development programme, with mentoring, technical training and opportunities across multiple disciplines within a global firm. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2:1 or above.
• MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage.
• Structural modules or Bridge Engineering experience would be an advantage.
• Demonstrate a good technical understanding of Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrable interest in Bridge Structures Engineering and career development.
• Willing to work towards chartership with ICE or IStructE.
• MS Office skills essential (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and drive.
• Able to structure and prioritise work and work in a team or independently.

• Structural Design on bridge projects.
• Bridge Assessment activities and reporting.
• Finite Elements Analysis for structural problems.
• Structural Inspections and condition assessment.
• Structures Renewal Feasibility Studies and option appraisal.
• On-site Works Supervision of construction activities.
• Scheme Management across project lifecycles.
