Job summary

London-based graduate Civil & Structural Engineer role at AECOM, focused on bridges and structures across UK and international projects. You will engage from concept design to implementation, using computational and design skills on a variety of bridge projects.

The programme supports career development toward chartership with ICE or IStructE, with a global platform and hybrid working options. Expect collaboration across multiple offices and disciplines.

Qualifications

• BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering with 2:1 or above.
• MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage.
• Structural modules or Bridge Engineering experience would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of Civil & Structural Engineering.
• Willing to work towards ICE or IStructE chartership.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients.
• Proactive and able to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis on bridge projects.
• Bridge assessment and inspection tasks.
• Finite elements analysis for structural concepts.
• Structure renewal feasibility studies.
• On-site works supervision and scheme management.

Education

BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or above

MEng or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be an advantage

Willing and able to work towards chartership with ICE or IStructE

Good Microsoft Office skills

Ability to communicate effectively

Enthusiastic, hardworking, with ambition and drive

Ability to structure & prioritise work
