We are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Assistants to join our vibrant team and fully immerse themselves in the day-to-day life of our school, including Boarding.
The role of a Graduate Assistant is both challenging and rewarding. As a Graduate Assistant at Walhampton, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our subject teachers, set up experiments and practical lessons, manage resources, and lead on art or technology projects. You will also play a vital role in our extensive extra-curricular programme, helping to organise and deliver exciting activities that inspire our students. Successful candidates must therefore be flexible, hard-working, and enthusiastic.
This varied and fulfilling role is perfect for current undergraduates or recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching or wishing to gain experience working with young people in a school setting. Walhampton provides a supportive environment where Graduate Assistants can develop their skills, contribute to the whole school community, and gain valuable experience in a variety of areas. We are also open to tailoring responsibilities to accommodate individual interests and strengths that align with the needs of our pupils.
On-site accommodation is available during term time. A small contribution toward utilities is required, but there is no rental charge for accommodation or food during term time. We also welcome applications from candidates who prefer to live in the surrounding area.
Hours will be term-time, including some evenings and weekends on a rota, as well as school trips and expeditions, which may occasionally fall over weekends.
