Job description

Job Duties
  1. Complete an 18-month placement studying a Level 2 Leisure Team Member Qualification, alongside full-time work as desired. Upon completion, you will be National Lifeguard Qualified, and achieve STA Certificates in Teaching Swimming, STA Award in Teaching Swimming, and Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing.
  2. Work on a rota basis to cover all shifts and events. The Recreational Assistant role involves working across various Dryside & Wetside sporting activities as required, including setting up the hall and studio for different sports and activities.
  3. Supervise the swimming pool for public safety after obtaining a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Attend staff training and meetings as required. Maintain general housekeeping in stores, fire exits, public areas, changing rooms, and toilets.
  4. Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, assisting in operational issues, and contributing to the business's progress.
  5. Ensure a customer-friendly and professional approach when delivering programmes, activities, and services.
  6. Respond enthusiastically and professionally to any assigned activities, assisting in delivering quality coaching sessions both wetside and dryside for the benefit of the Centre.
  7. Work towards expanding your coaching duties through further qualifications, workshops, seminars, and attending required meetings as discussed with the Centre Manager.
Salary

£15,704.04 per annum (£7.55 per hour) for full-time, 40 hours per week, working 4 days during the week plus a weekend shift.
