Job summary

Claremont Clinic is seeking an experienced Operations and Workforce Lead to support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of a GP surgery. The role combines administrative efficiency with people management and patient service to ensure high standards of care.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in healthcare management or a similar role, strong ICT skills, and experience with EMISWeb or SystmOne. A commitment to confidentiality and excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• GP surgery management experience required.
• GP surgery admin experience required.
• Excellent ICT proficiency and data handling.
• Familiarity with EMISWeb or SystmOne systems.
• Experience supervising and appraising staff.
• HR processes and recruitment familiarity.
• Knowledge of NHS management and primary care structure.
• Ability to write and review healthcare policies.
• Clear English communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support Practice Manager in day-to-day running of the surgery.
• Oversee administrative systems, procedures and patient services.
• Assist with rosters, recruitment, training and HR processes.
• Write and update practice policies and procedures.
• Liaise with patients, staff and external healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to compliance with CQC standards and policies.
• Maintain strong ICT skills and use of relevant software.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork.
• Be a proactive, flexible team player.
