Job summary

Moss Street Surgery is seeking a General Practice Manager to run day-to-day operations, lead the practice team and manage budgets within NHS contracts and governance standards. Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.
• Experience as a General Practice Manager.
• Experience working within a GP practice.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operational management of the practice so services run efficiently and effectively.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the practice team.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and systems to improve service delivery.
• Support the GP Partners with strategic and operational objectives, business planning and long-term practice planning.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, greater efficiency and financial sustainability.
• Oversee practice budgets, expenditure and financial reporting.
• Monitor income streams, contractual payments and practice resources.
• Support financial forecasting and cost-effective service delivery.
• Ensure the practice meets NHS contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
• Support compliance with CQC requirements, policies and procedures.
• Oversee practice policies, risk assessments, health and safety and business continuity planning.
• Ensure information governance, confidentiality and data protection arrangements are in place, and support clinical governance, audit, significant event reviews and quality assurance.
