Job summary

Lincoln House Surgery is seeking an experienced, fully qualified general practice nurse to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes for our patients. You would be expected to work at both Apsley and Highfield sites on a rota.

This role is offered full or part time (30–37.5 hours per week) with one late night 10am–6pm, and includes health assessments, vaccines, chronic disease reviews and wound care, within a proactive, patient‑centred team.

Qualifications

• A relevant nursing degree and at least 2 years post qualification experience in a general practice setting.
• Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
• Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking health assessments, administering medication and treatments and performing diagnostic tests.
• Providing and evaluating health interventions to meet patients' health and social care needs.
• Managing and treating long-term conditions in line with policies.
• Reviewing medications for therapeutic effectiveness and supporting adherence.
• Vaccination and immunisation programmes for adults and children.
• Wound care and assisting with minor surgery as needed.
