Job summary

Threeways Surgery seeks an experienced practice nurse to join the clinical team on a part-time basis (10–15 hours per week). The role emphasizes travel vaccinations, child immunisations and women’s health, including cervical screening, with a focus on long-term condition care.

Essential requirements include RGN registration with at least 2 years post-qualification experience and GP practice exposure. You will administer immunisations, provide travel health guidance, and support patient care

Qualifications

• RGN status with at least 2 years qualified.
• Experience of working in a GP practice for at least 12 months.
• Immunisation delivery and travel health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers adult and child immunisations and vaccinations.
• Provides travel health advice for patients planning travel.
• Supports cervical screening and women’s health initiatives.
• Delivers long-term condition care for asthma and diabetes.
• Ensures safe storage and stock management of vaccines and drugs.

Job responsibilities

Administers adult and child immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with national and local programmes. Is competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques. Ensures safe storage, rotation and disposal of vaccines and drugs and adequate stock levels are maintained.

Offers comprehensive travel health advice for patients prior to travel

Womens Health & Cervical Screening - offer advice and reassurance to patients and encourage uptake
