Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider in the UK is seeking a Goods Inward and Stores Operative. You will be responsible for safely offloading vehicles and managing store duties using forklift trucks. The ideal candidate has relevant warehouse experience and an FLT counterbalance license. Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a production/manufacturing warehouse/stores environment.

Responsibilities

  • Offloading/loading of vehicles using forklift trucks and overhead cranes.
  • Compiling contractual fabrication parts for the shop floor.
  • Ensuring health and safety remains a focus for all activities.
  • Record and scan delivery notes and book parts in.
  • Assist in delivering parts to shop and service departments.
  • Raise near misses and support health and safety improvements.
  • Maintain hygiene and housekeeping in all stores areas.
  • Support stock takes and general stores duties as needed.
  • Adhere to data protection policies for personal data.

What's the role?

As part of our Goods In and Stores Operative teams, your main duties will include the safe offloading / loading of vehicles and reporting/recording any damages while ensuring our warehouse is in a safe and tidy state. You will be using forklift trucks and overhead cranes, compiling contractual fabrication parts for shop floor and reporting of any damage. You will be responsible for distributing parts around the site as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offloading / loading of vehicles as required using forklift trucks and overhead cranes.
  • Opening fabrication cases / pallets and unwrapping parts and assembling on plastic pallets.
  • Taking parts as requested into production-related areas.
  • Booking in parts and scanning delivery notes after booking.
  • Supporting & delivering parts to the shop & service department.
  • Raising near misses and safety improvement opportunities and ensuring health and safety remains a focus for all activities.
  • Always maintaining good standards of hygiene and housekeeping around all store’s areas.
  • Working as part of the Stores team and carrying out other general stores’ duties as and when required, including stock take activities.

  • Ensure all data protection activities of personal and special category data pertaining to current employees, customers, and all other external stakeholders, are done in line with the company’s data protection policy.
