Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking a Goods In Assistant for a manufacturing site in Eye, Suffolk. Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, salary circa £25,000 DOE. Permanent contract with long-term stability.

The role involves receipt, inspection and movement of goods across the site, ensuring materials are checked, recorded and available for production requirements. Forklift licence desirable, MS Office and ERP systems experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Goods In, Warehouse, Stores or Yard environment.
• Ability to check deliveries against documents and specifications.
• Strong organisation and accuracy to maintain stock records.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming goods against delivery notes, purchase orders and specifications.
• Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality and discrepancies.
• Book goods into ERP system and maintain stock records.
• Move stock around yard and manufacturing areas.
• Support goods out, packing and shipping when required.
• Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control.
• Update stock locations using internal systems.
• Identify and report damaged or non-conforming goods.
• Maintain a clean, safe Goods In area.

Role: Goods In Assistant

Location: Eye, Suffolk

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Pay: Circa £25,000 per annum (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for a Goods In Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Eye, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores, or goods in experience who is looking for a long-term position within a busy manufacturing environment.

The role will involve supporting the receipt, inspection, and movement of goods across the site, ensuring materials are checked, recorded, and available for production requirements.

Goods In Assistant Duties:

• Checking incoming goods against delivery notes, purchase orders and specifications
• Inspecting deliveries for quantity, quality and any discrepancies
• Booking goods into the ERP system and maintaining accurate stock records
• Moving stock around the yard and manufacturing areas
• Supporting goods out, packing and shipping of parts when required
• Carrying out stock checks and assisting with inventory control
• Updating stock locations using internal systems
• Identifying and reporting damaged or non-conforming goods
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised Goods In area
• Following all company health & safety procedures and processes

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience within a Goods In, Warehouse, Stores or Yard environment
• Valid Forklift Truck licence (desirable)
• Good attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Comfortable using computer systems including Microsoft Office and warehouse systems
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
• Reliable, positive and able to work well as part of a team
