Haskins Garden Centre in Forest Lodge is seeking a part-time Goods In Assistant/Driver to join our team. This role is 22.5 hours per week with a pay of £12.71 per hour and includes driving our company van for home deliveries.

You will support daily goods-in operations and stock movement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will collaborate with the Operations Team in a fast-paced warehouse, maintaining strong admin practices and adherence to safety standards while supporting stock control and

• Full UK Driving Licence required due to driving company van.

Goods In Assistant/Driver

We are recruiting a Goods In Assistant working part time, 22.5 hours per week.

Salary £12.71 per hour.

The role of Goods-In Assistant

You will be working in a warehouse environment contributing to consistent and efficient warehouse operations. You will assist with the daily operations of the Goods-In team to ensure effective and efficient movement of stock through our garden centre. You will be required to deliver accurate administration to maximise profit and minimise losses, using your natural passion for accuracy and attention to detail. In this role you will be driving our company van to complete home deliveries to our customers.

This role is at the heart of everything we do and you’ll be collaborating with the Operations Team and wider Garden Centre daily to support the smooth running of our centre to ensure we are delivering excellent customer service.

A Full UK Driving License is required for this role and you will need to be 25 years old or above due to vehicle insurance policy requirements.

Skills required for the role:

• Previous Goods-In and/or Warehouse related experience
• Excellent communication and networking skills at all levels
• Methodical approach to work with a high attention to detail
• Administration experience with excellent up to date knowledge of IT systems.
• Planning, prioritising, and attention to detail.
• Can-do Approach to processes and systems.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse and shop floor environment
• High level of inter-personal skills

• High standard of personal presentation

Role includes:

• Packing, palletising, and picking stock
• Organising and keeping all working areas safe, secure, and tidy.
• Unloading and loading of stock
• Accurate booking in of stock
• Assisting with stock price checks to apply with regulations.
• Supporting colleagues and providing cover for tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Inventory checks supporting Stock Control tea, including returns, inventory discrepancies, and system corrections.
