Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Sudbury, Suffolk to support Goods In and Goods Out activities. You will safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift, move stock, load and unload deliveries, and maintain accurate stock records in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Applicants should have warehouse experience and a valid Counterbalance Forklift licence, with strong attention to detail and safety. This role is on-site and requires a hands-on, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/Goods In or Goods Out environments.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
• Ability to operate a Counterbalance forklift from day one.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.

Responsibilities

Role: Warehouse Operative

Join a busy and well-established manufacturer as a Warehouse Operative, supporting the Goods In and Goods Out function. This is a hands-on role involving the safe operation of a Counterbalance Forklift, stock movement, loading and unloading deliveries, and general warehouse duties within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Duties:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Receiving, checking and booking in incoming goods.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Moving stock safely throughout the warehouse.
• Assisting with Goods In and Goods Out activities.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Following all health and safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.

Skills:

• Previous experience within a warehouse, Goods In or Goods Out environment.
• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential).
• Confident operating a Counterbalance Forklift from day one.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
