Job summary

Pertemps Worcester is seeking a Goods Inwards Controller for Pershore. This hands‑on role manages incoming goods, subcontract movements, stock accuracy and smooth materials flow in the stores function.

You will work with Production, Procurement, Quality and suppliers, maintaining records and driving improvements across the department. A Counterbalance FLT licence is required.

Qualifications

• Previous goods-in, warehouse, or stores experience within manufacturing.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Experience using an ERP, MRP, or stock control system.
• Strong attention to detail and basic numeracy.
• Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams.
• Physically fit and able to complete manual handling duties safely.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in engineering or metalwork is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking deliveries against purchase orders.
• Inspecting goods for damage, quantity, and specification.
• Recording stock movements accurately on the ERP/MRP system.
• Preparing materials and paperwork for subcontract suppliers.
• Tracking subcontract orders and monitoring return dates.
• Checking returned goods before release to production.
• Investigating shortages, discrepancies, or damaged deliveries.
• Maintaining traceable records for audit purposes.
• Supporting stock counts, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
• Operating a Counterbalance FLT when required.

Monday to Thursday: 7:45am-5:15pm
Friday: 7:45am-1:00pm

£13.95-£14.42 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Goods Inwards & Subcontract Controller to join a busy manufacturing company based in Pershore. This hands‑on role will take responsibility for incoming goods, subcontract movements, stock accuracy, and the smooth flow of materials through the stores function.

You will work closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and external suppliers while maintaining accurate records and supporting improvements across the department.
