Moderna in Harwell is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to own GMP manufacturing equipment, driving operability and reliability. Based onsite in Harwell but supporting Moderna’s Norwood network, you’ll lead issue resolution, continuous improvement, and readiness across bioprocess platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant Process Engineer‑related experience.
• 2 years of experience in a GxP environment preferred.
• Experience with Bioprocess Equipment (Ultrafiltration, Chromatography, TMIX, Single Use Mixers, Buffer Prep Vessels, Temperature Control Units, Fermenters, Reaction Vessels, etc)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be able to use technical background to investigate issues using structured problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; basic statistical analysis is preferred.
• Ability to own assignments and drive multiple complex tasks to completion.

Responsabilidades

• Provide subject matter expertise and direct engineering support for critical GMP manufacturing equipment.
• Serve as the Engineering Owner for process equipment in Moderna’s Norwood facility.
• Deliver day‑to‑day floor support to ensure uptime in regulated environments.
• Lead small‑to‑medium technical projects balancing quality, compliance, and timelines.
• Author high‑quality technical documents in compliance with Moderna’s quality systems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement robust CAPAs and corrective actions.
• Manage change controls, deviations, and quality records for equipment.
• Participate in facility fit and tech transfer activities for new projects.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Support gold‑standard batch outcomes and flawless tech transfer across projects.
