Job summary

Howden Group Holdings seeks a Claims Broker to join the growing Superyacht Claims team and take ownership of complex yacht claims handling and client advocacy. You will support a global portfolio across Hull & Machinery, P&I and Crew Welfare, negotiating settlements with insurers and other stakeholders.

In this role you will collaborate with colleagues in Southampton, London and the Howden US team, maintain rigorous records, and provide market insight to improve outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling marine, yacht or complex liability claims.
• Experience negotiating claims with insurers and market participants.
• Strong claims advocacy and delivering positive client outcomes.
• Experience with market systems and claims handling processes.
• Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Experience building relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, surveyors and legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Handle and negotiate a broad range of yacht claims, including Hull & Machinery and P&I.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to achieve fair and timely claims outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements with insurers, lawyers, surveyors and other stakeholders.
• Support yacht owners and representatives throughout the claims lifecycle with expert guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Southampton, London and internationally including the US team.
• Maintain accurate claims records and ensure adherence to market processes and systems.
• Analyse claim information and financial data to support reserve management and settlements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and industry professionals.
• Identify opportunities to improve outcomes, service delivery and client experience.
