Job summary

Howden Group in Southampton is hiring a Claims Technician to support day-to-day administration and processing of claims for the Superyachts team. You will handle claim payments, bordereaux preparation and submissions for a key crew medical facility, and maintain high-quality claims records.

The role requires strong Excel and Word skills, careful handling of numerical data, the ability to juggle priorities and deadlines, and a collaborative approach to support the claims handlers.

Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work accurately with numerical data and financial information.
• Experience managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process claim payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Prepare and submit bordereaux for a key crew medical facility.
• Set up new claims on internal systems with complete records.
• Verify payment requests and supporting documentation before processing.
• Maintain claim diaries and monitor outstanding actions for effective management.
• Close claims promptly once requirements are completed.
• Produce regular claims statistics, reports and management information.
• Support claims handlers with administrative activities to deliver service.
