Job summary

Ubique Systems in Birmingham (UK) seeks an expert video conferencing and MTR specialist to join a globally distributed team ensuring operational excellence for Microsoft Teams Rooms across the Client estate. Based in Bournville, you will support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve MTR and video conferencing experience worldwide.

The role also drives the operation of a dedicated Video Testing Lab in Bournville used to validate firmware updates, security patches, and configuration changes

Qualifications

• Expert-level Microsoft Teams Rooms deployment, configuration, management and troubleshooting.
• Strong UC knowledge and pro-AV system expertise across multi-vendor setups.
• Experience with multi-vendor hardware and room lab testing environments.
• ITIL Foundation as minimum; practitioner preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow for incidents, tickets and reporting.
• DEX platforms experience (NexThink preferred) and lab-driven improvement mindset.
• MS-700/MS-720 certifications or equivalent preferred.
• Experience managing large-scale global MTR/UC environments and labs.
• Knowledge of QoS, VLANs and real-time media networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot ~330 Microsoft Teams Rooms across sites globally.
• Configure, support, and optimise AV peripherals and infrastructure from OEMs (Shure, Crestron, Extron, Magewell, Blackmagic, Sennheiser).
• Troubleshoot complex AV signal chains and impact on in-room and remote experience.
• Own the video conferencing experience from an employee perspective; reduce friction globally.
• Collaborate with global MTR colleagues across time zones on standards and incident resolution.
• Provide data for reporting, scorecards, and experience metrics.
• Support day-to-day operation of the Bournville Video Testing Lab and validation testing before rollout.
• Coordinate firmware updates, security patches, and configuration changes pre-production.
• Test and validate AV device settings, audio tuning, and video quality; document outcomes.
• Support remote lab access for validation and experimentation by global teams.
