Job summary

RSM UK is seeking an Associate Director to lead Global VAT Compliance & Reporting, delivering complex VAT solutions across the UK, EU and global markets. You will own policy guidance, develop technical materials, and support client and internal teams with expert advice.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, manage projects, and contribute to business development in a fast-evolving regulatory landscape. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience.
• Outstanding EU tax technical, research and analysis skills and a desire to develop wider and deeper tax technical knowledge/expertise.
• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing to a variety of audiences.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• The ability to manage projects to ensure delivery of own work within agreed, often short, timeframes.
• A responsive, proactive and collaborative team-working approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical policy support and guidance.
• Prepare written updates for global VAT compliance and reporting updates, tax practice alerts, and other communications.
• Identify business development opportunities from case law and legislation and prepare briefings and materials.
• Prepare and review global VAT content for external marketing materials.
• Respond to GVAT technical queries from the wider team.
• Carry out ad-hoc client work in support of the wider team.
• Draft, edit, and deliver training materials and webinars.
• Maintain tax information resources and the tax knowledge database.
• Contribute to review of standard documents and firm GVAT policies.
• Attend meetings with government bodies and other organisations.
