Job summary

Elekta is seeking a Manager, User Experience (UX) Research to lead our Global UX Research team in Crawley, ensuring safe, effective, and usable hardware and software. You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, and Design to champion user-centred design across the business.

Reporting to the Head of UX & Design, you will shape user research strategy, oversee usability activities for regulated medical devices, and drive measurable improvements in product UX.

Qualifications

• Masters or equivalent in UX Research, Human Factors, or related field.
• Experience leading UX teams and mentoring.
• Strong background in usability testing and user research methods.
• Experience supporting regulatory submissions for medical devices.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
• Track record delivering measurable business impact through UX.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of UX Researchers, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Define and prioritise UX research activities across Elekta's product portfolio.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, and Design to embed user needs throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive adoption of user-centred design practices and advocate for UX value.
• Oversee user research and testing from discovery to launch and improvement.
• Lead usability engineering activities for regulated medical devices and ensure compliance.
• Manage user risk analysis and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Establish UX quality measures and use insights to guide product decisions.
• Manage relationships with external research partners.
