Job summary

Elekta in Crawley is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to lead user research and usability testing for our hardware and software products. You will conduct usability testing, risk analysis, and compile documentation for regulatory submissions, shaping safe and intuitive user experiences.

You will collaborate with Design, Product, Engineering and Clinical teams to bring user insights into product decisions. The role involves guiding junior staff and managing external research partners to ensure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of UX research, human factors or usability experience.
• Strong mix of qualitative and quantitative methods with ability to choose the right approach.
• Formal, metrics-driven usability testing experience.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated medical devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver user research and usability testing across the product lifecycle.
• Plan and run interviews, observational research, usability tests and surveys.
• Perform task and risk analyses to assess safety and usability of medical devices.
• Define usability strategy aligned with regulatory requirements and complete usability documentation for submissions.
• Recommend UX design improvements to enhance safety and usability.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Clinical and Regulatory teams; act as usability subject matter expert.
• Communicate insights clearly and advocate for user-centered design.
• Support and guide junior team members.
• Manage external research partners when needed.
