Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking a Global Head of Transformation and Innovation for MSS Operations to set the strategic direction for Operations change and translate it into a clear, prioritised roadmap delivered across 41 markets. Qualifications

• Significant experience in finance with Operations exposure across regions.
• Knowledge of post-trade lifecycle processes, market infrastructure and operational risk and control frameworks.
• Track record in setting transformation direction and overseeing complex programmes and portfolios.
• Sound judgement across cost, client service, technology, process, risk management and people topics.
• Ability to communicate complex issues concisely to senior stakeholders across countries and functions.
• Experience strengthening risk management including conduct risk and non-financial risks within Operations.
• Commercial and financial acumen including budgeting, productivity and location strategy considerations.
• Experience managing diverse teams across geographies and time zones and partnering with stakeholders including Product Control and Technology.
• Experience engaging regulators, vendors and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the transformation strategy for MSS Operations and translate it into a clear prioritised roadmap across countries and teams.
• Own portfolio governance across the end-to-end change agenda including delivery oversight, dependency management and benefits realisation.
• Establish sponsorship and funding alignment so the change plan supports customer outcomes, regulatory expectations and business priorities.
• Shape transformation delivery across simplification, standardisation and automation while strengthening risk and controls by design.
• Embed operational resilience into change delivery so outcomes are sustainable and changes land safely.
• Build change capability across people, knowledge, technology and process to improve execution across the organisation.
• Partner with Technology, Front Office, support functions and MSS Operations leaders to strengthen connectivity and collaboration.
• Manage programme costs, headcount, risks and issues while ensuring reporting, KPIs and financials support executive decision making.
• Establish and lead a new team focused on Securities Services-led client onboarding and change, overseeing large-scale operational onboarding and client change initiatives.
