Job summary

Chart Industries in Renfrew, Scotland, UK, invites applications for a Senior Project Manager to own delivery of complex compressor package projects from award to completion. You’ll lead across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and commissioning, interfacing with customers and steering teams to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• HNC in engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience leading complex, high-value projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy or related sectors.
• Proven track record delivering major projects with commercial accountability.
• Strong governance, controls, risk management and lifecycle delivery.
• Experience managing large budgets, cash flow, forecasting and financial performance.
• Commercial acumen including contract management and scope changes.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
• Influence multidisciplinary teams and drive performance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of rotating equipment and compressor systems.
• PM qualification (APM, PMP or PRINCE2).
• Experience delivering compressor packaging or rotating equipment projects.
• Knowledge of compressor packaging processes.
• Experience working with international customers and teams.
• MS Project or Smartsheet knowledge.
• Coaching/mentoring project professionals.
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, high-value package projects on a global basis.
• Own project execution from sales handover through ENG, procurement, manufacturing, delivery and commissioning.
• Be primary customer interface, developing relationships and managing communications.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to Project Managers and teams.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow to meet financial objectives.
• Monitor schedules, resources, risks and opportunities for successful outcomes.
• Resolve complex technical, commercial and contractual matters.
• Ensure contract requirements, scope changes and invoicing are managed.
• Work with engineering to support document release schedules and queries.
• Support project reviews and reporting to customers and senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance quality and profitability.
• Prepare project documentation and handover to commissioning/aftermarket.
• Promote safety, quality and compliance across activities.
