The HALO Trust is seeking a Global Safe Driving Manager to deliver Qualified Driver Trainer and Advanced Safe Driver Training across HALO’s country programmes. This global roaming post requires coordinating with in-country teams and building sustainable in-country training capacity, embedding HALO’s road safety standards.

Formación

• Recognised driver trainer/instructor qualification or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering Train the Trainer programmes.
• Experience training drivers in before-use checks and fault identification.
• Willingness to travel internationally on a rolling schedule.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver Qualified Driver Trainer (Train the Trainer) courses that build and certify driver trainers within each programme.
• Run a rolling international schedule of Advanced Safe Driver Training courses, prioritising programmes using RTC data and risk assessments.
• Train drivers in before-use vehicle checks and a standardised fault-identification approach, so unsafe vehicles stay off the road and developing faults are caught and repaired before they cause a breakdown.
• Set and maintain consistent training content, assessment criteria and competency standards across every programme.
• Assess driver competency and report on it, flagging training needs at both individual and programme level.
• Help programmes develop, review and embed Driver and Driving Management SOPs.
• Provide technical training input to RTC investigations where driver competency or a training gap is a contributing factor.
• Report regularly to the Global Head of Fleet and Road Safety on training delivered, trainers certified and competency trends.
• Coordinate with the Global Fleet Technical Manager where visit schedules overlap, so programmes receive one joined‑up assurance visit.
