Job summary

The HALO Trust is seeking a Global Safe Driving Manager to deliver high‑level driver training across HALO’s international programmes. The role focuses on building in‑country training capacity and ensuring HALO’s road safety standards are applied consistently worldwide.

It is a global roaming, full‑time position reporting to the Global Head of Fleet and Road Safety, with extensive travel to country programmes.

Qualifications

• Recognised driver trainer/instructor qualification (e.g., ADI, QDT) or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering Train the Trainer programmes and certifying other trainers.
• Experience training drivers in before-use checks and fault identification.
• Strong assessment and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Qualified Driver Trainer (Train the Trainer) courses to certify driver trainers in programmes.
• Coordinate an international schedule of Advanced Safe Driver Training courses.
• Train drivers in vehicle checks and standardized fault identification.
• Maintain consistent training content, assessment criteria and standards.
• Assess driver competency and report training needs at individual and programme levels.
• Help develop and embed Driver and Driving Management SOPs.
• Provide input to RTC investigations where training gaps exist.
• Report to Global Head of Fleet and Road Safety on training delivered and trends.
