Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to promote best practice in Reliability Engineering with global support, training, and analyses. You will network across sites, deploy Design for Reliability tools, and lead projects with travel as needed.

The role emphasizes independence, collaboration with NPI, Technology, Operations and Service, and enabling teams to adopt best practices for reliability across the business.

Qualifications

• Engineering, quality or science knowledge at degree level, or equivalent competence demonstrated through substantial relevant experience.
• Significant experience in an engineering environment, including practical application of reliability engineering methods.
• Demonstrable commitment to improving product quality, reliability and customer outcomes.
• Able to apply reliability engineering tools and methods in practical business situations, including FMEA, Life Data Analysis, RBDs, DOE and maintenance strategy development.
• Able to work with data to support reliability analysis and reporting using databases, SQL, Power BI, ReliaSoft, Minitab or Python.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand a global network to facilitate Design for Reliability across multiple sites and empower teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to enable adoption of best practices and methods.
• Independently perform complex reliability analyses and deploy established tools in projects.
• Review the work of other engineers to ensure quality of output.
• Design, use and deliver training of Design for Reliability tools for specific projects.
• Develop report content and automate data delivery to stakeholders.
• Engage with Customer Centres to assess reliability impact on experience.
• Identify gaps and drive improvements with measurable progress.
• Implement changes to embed improvements within the portfolio.
