Job summary

Coursera is seeking a skilled Privacy Program Manager to lead the company’s global privacy program across products, platforms, and business functions. You’ll translate legal requirements into scalable operational processes, governance, and controls, embedding privacy by design across the organization.

You will own DPIAs, ROPAs, vendor privacy reviews, and data subject rights workflows. The role collaborates with Legal, Engineering, Product, Security, and Marketing to drive privacy programs,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of privacy, data protection, or related program management experience.
• Experience with GDPR and CCPA in multinational organizations.
• Ability to translate privacy requirements into operational processes with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in DPIAs, ROPAs, data subject rights, vendor privacy reviews, and privacy due diligence.
• Experience with privacy management platforms (OneTrust, TrustArc) and automation.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and privacy certification (CIPP/CIPM/CIPT).

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve core privacy program operations, including privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and records of processing activities (ROPAs).
• Design and manage processes for data subject rights requests and privacy inquiries.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, Marketing, Procurement to conduct privacy reviews and embed privacy by design.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, standards, training, records, and self-service resources.
• Monitor changes in global privacy laws and translate requirements into practical controls.
• Define and report on privacy program metrics and support incidents, data retention, cross-border transfers.
