Job summary

HubX is seeking a Global Payment Optimization Manager to enhance payment success across purchases, renewals, and upsells. You will diagnose payment loss sources and design robust routing and retry strategies to maximize revenue and customer experience.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Growth, Finance, and Risk teams to optimize checkout and recovery, translate insights into action, and build a prioritized roadmap for experimentation and impact.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical thinking and structured approach to solving payment problems.
• Hands-on experience with payment performance, checkout optimization, authorization, retries, or subscription recovery.
• Understanding of how payment success is influenced by issuer behavior, geography, currency, and checkout design.
• Ability to translate data into measurable revenue impact and business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own the optimization of payment success across first purchases, upsells, and renewals.
• Diagnose sources of payment loss including declines, authentication failures, technical issues, and customer abandonment.
• Improve authorization rates with routing, cascading, and retry strategies by issuer, geography, currency, and card type.
• Optimize network tokens, stored credentials, account updater, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and local methods for approvals and recovery.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Growth, Subscription, Monetization, Finance, and Risk teams to enhance checkout flows.
