Job summary

Fanvue is seeking a data-driven Payments Analytics Specialist to own the analytical engine behind our payments function. You will translate raw payments data into actionable decisions, optimise routing, manage costs, and drive improvements in auth and renewal success rates.

You’ll work with a multi-acquirer setup, handle messy data, and build live dashboards for KPI tracking. This is a high-impact, autonomous role with direct revenue and margin influence.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with high-risk payments and multi-acquirer setups.
• SQL-proficient and able to pull queries and build views in a data warehouse.
• Comfort working with messy, inconsistent data from multiple sources.
• Ability to form hypotheses, run experiments, and iterate based on results.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and recover declined transactions by analysing codes, retry timing, and acquirers.
• Build and optimise intelligent routing rules based on card type, user behaviour, and activity.
• Map per-transaction COGS across processors, gateways, FX, fees, refunds and chargebacks and reduce it.
• Own daily reconciliation with Finance across multiple acquirer data formats.
• Diagnose auth failures and improve renewal success rates.
• Identify friction in the payment journey and brief Product/Engineering.
