Job summary

Outpost is building the engine behind global trade from London. We are hiring a Payment Operations Lead to own the money movement, settlement, and economics across markets.

You’ll dive into transaction data, optimize approval rates, and partner with processors, banks, and merchants to scale cross-border commerce. You’ll work directly with founders and engineers to ship data-driven improvements, build workflows, and influence product roadmap.

Qualifications

• A STEM or quantitative degree is strongly preferred.
• 3 to 7+ years in payment operations, analytics, or a data role in fintech.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build models independently.

Responsibilities

• Build the payments operations system, monitoring, and exception handling.
• Own approval rates, routing logic, and decline recovery strategies.
• Manage chargebacks, fraud strategy, and incident response.
