Job summary

Vestas Wind Systems A/S is seeking an experienced Global Offshore Support Field Trainer to mentor Offshore Service Site Technicians across regions during readiness and ramp-up. You will undergo core Vestas training, then support windfarm operations worldwide to maximise efficiency and safety.

The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and cross-border collaboration, with travel to EU, USA, Japan, Korea and Taiwan as needed to scale operations and share best practices across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university i.e. Marine Engineer or similar
• Experience as Field Trainer or lead technician in wind/oil sectors preferred
• Authorized Technician status on V164/V174 or EnVentus platforms
• Good English skills, spoken and written
• Full driving license
• Ability to obtain work visas globally (EU, USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)

Responsibilities

• Train and coach technicians on the operation and maintenance of V236 15MW turbines, acting as a mentor and promoting the OneVestas philosophy
• Serve as a key contact for lessons learned, providing feedback across the global value chain to drive continuous improvement
• Support site teams in following Vestas processes and best practices to ensure consistent, scalable offshore operations
• Assist with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems, both on-site and remotely
• Deliver technical and operational training on the V236 platform, including onboarding and development of new technicians
• Improve operational efficiency by driving first-time fix rates, reducing service times, and monitoring performance using tools like Power BI
• Promote safety and operational excellence by coaching teams on Vestas Wind Turbine Safety Rules
