Job summary

Vestas is seeking an experienced Technician to become Global Offshore Support Field Trainer, coaching Offshore Service Site Technicians at new offshore sites worldwide during the readiness and ramp-up phases.

You will train on V236 15MW turbines, lead lessons learned, improve first-time fix rates, and promote safety across the global value chain. The first year includes technical training at training centres before deployment to sites globally.

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university (e.g., Marine Engineer or similar).
• Good English skills both oral and written.
• Full driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain work visas globally (EU, USA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan).

Responsibilities

• Train and coach technicians on operation and maintenance of V236 15MW turbines, promoting OneVestas philosophy.
• Serve as a key contact for lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across the value chain.
• Support site teams in following Vestas processes and best practices for scalable offshore operations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems on-site and remotely.
• Deliver technical and operational training on the V236 platform and onboard development of new technicians.
• Improve operational efficiency by driving first-time fix rates and reducing service times.
• Promote safety and operational excellence by coaching teams on Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching Offshore Service Site Technicians at new Offshore Service sites across all Regions during the Service Readiness and site Ramp-Up phases. The aim is to ensure that there is sufficient knowledge sharing across Global Offshore Service operations and that best practices and new learnings are implemented across the whole value chain, minimising lost production from day one.As a mentor and coach, you will provide guidance and support with day-to-day operations of the windfarm to help train the local site team operate windfarm to maximum efficiency.During your first year you will undergo Vestas technical training at one of training centres, along with at some of our existing V236 sites, before you will be placed at one our new Offshore Service sites across the globe.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Train and coach technicians on the operation and maintenance of V236 15MW turbines, acting as a mentor and promoting the OneVestas philosophy
• Serve as a key contact for lessons learned, providing feedback across the global value chain to drive continuous improvement
• Support site teams in following Vestas processes and best practices to ensure consistent, scalable offshore operations
• Assist with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems, both on-site and remotely
• Deliver technical and operational training on the V236 platform, including onboarding and development of new technicians
• Improve operational efficiency by driving first-time fix rates, reducing service times, and monitoring performance using tools like Power BI
• Promote safety and operational excellence by coaching teams on Vestas Wind Turbine Safety Rules

Qualifications

• Completed electrical or mechanical degree from a technical school/college/university i.e. Marine Engineer or similar
• It will be an advantage if you have a relevant professional experience (electrical or mechanical) and preferably previous experience as a Field Trainer, Lead Supervisor/ LeadTechnician, Service Technician / Trouble shooter, Commissioning Supervisor or similar in Vestas or you might have a relevant background from the Wind Business or similar
• Currently hold Authorised Technician status on V164/V174 or EnVentus platforms.
• Good English skills both oral and in written
• Full driver's license
• MUST be able to successfully gain work visas around the globe (focussing on EU, USA, Japan, Korea and Taiwan travel)
