Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a Global Manager for Technical Documentation in Lisburn (Northern Ireland). You will lead a global team to create and maintain technical documentation, defining a multi-channel strategy spanning print, digital, and interactive formats.

You will work with R&D, Product Management, Regulatory, and IT to ensure accuracy and compliance, promote structured authoring, and manage external vendors. Strong English communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Background in Technical Communication, Engineering, or relevant field
• Experience in technical documentation or product information management
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Proven experience with complex mechanical or electromechanical products

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global team dedicated to creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Define and execute a multi-channel documentation strategy across print, digital, and interactive platforms
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Regulatory, and IT to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
• Drive adoption of structured authoring tools and reusable content practices
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance quality and efficiency
• Manage external vendors and translation partners, ensuring consistency across all documentation

About you

• Background in Technical Communication, Engineering, or relevant field
