Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking a Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator for a site-based role in Kettering, Northamptonshire. The role oversees freight movements, customs compliance, and management of logistics partners to ensure timely delivery within budget.

You will work with manufacturing, distribution centres and freight providers to drive efficiency, maintain service levels and support international markets. 2-3 years in logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience within logistics, supply chain, freight, customs, or operations.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and Incoterms.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to analyse data and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor logistics performance against KPIs and identify improvements and cost savings.
• Review shipment performance with global distribution centres and coordinate actions.
• Develop SOPs and process documentation for freight and customs activities.
• Lead reviews with distribution centres to resolve delivery, packaging and stock issues.
• Maintain delivery schedules and lead times in ERP systems.
• Support tender exercises and assess freight provider performance.
