Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an IT operations and risk & governance professional to manage services supporting payment solutions across the group. The role is based onsite in the UK, coordinating with security, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure secure, compliant IT operations for e-money issuance and payment services.

You will lead governance, risk controls, and audits, and work with external providers to ensure performance, security, and regulatory obligations are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
• 5+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, or technology risk & control roles.
• Experience in a regulated financial services firm (FCA-regulated preferred).
• Fluency in English and Chinese for cross-stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own IT service management and operations for systems supporting e-money issuance, payment services, safeguarding, customer servicing, finance, and regulatory reporting.
• Implement and maintain IT governance, risk, and control frameworks across infrastructure, access, change, backup/recovery, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation; support governance reporting.
• Partner with Information Security to embed security controls across IAM, privileged access, endpoints, logging, patching, encryption, and backup protection.
• Lead operational resilience, BCP, and DR arrangements, including asset mapping, failover testing, and remediation.
• Oversee change management and systems delivery; manage outsourcing and third-party tech arrangements, monitoring performance, security, and contractual obligations.
• Serve as IT operations contact for audits, regulatory reviews, and major incident escalation; coordinate evidence collection and senior management reporting.
