BNY seeks a Director, Business Risk to join the First Line of Defence within Global Payments & Trade in London. The role reports to the Head of 1LOD Risk and Controls Management and offers international scope, aligning the platform’s risk agenda with strong governance and visibility.

The successful candidate will strengthen risk transparency, governance effectiveness, and first line execution, collaborating with product, operations, technology, compliance, legal, audit and controls teams to

• Strong track record in business risk, controls, governance.
• Experience within leading financial institutions.
• Ability to translate complex risk information into executive reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across senior stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Support execution of the 1LOD risk strategy with governance materials.
• Develop executive reporting, dashboards, and governance materials.
• Drive first line governance across leadership forums, risk reviews, and control committees.
• Oversee issue and escalation management with clear, decision-oriented updates.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities to strengthen controls and governance.
• Support process and control enhancements across payments and trade workflows.
• Build partnerships across first, second, and third lines of defence.
