Job summary

ByteDance in London seeks a motivated Safeguarding Manager to join our team. You will oversee governance of safeguarding, ensuring alignment with UK EMRs/PSRs and FCA guidance to protect customer funds.

You will lead development and continuous improvement of safeguarding controls, manage reconciliations for safeguarded funds, and coordinate audits with external regulators. This onsite role supports cross-functional finance, operations and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Strong finance/treasury experience in regulated financial services.
• Solid FCA safeguarding rules knowledge for EMI/PSR contexts.
• Ability to drive controls in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain safeguarding framework with FCA alignment and guidance.
• Oversee safeguarding reconciliations for safeguarded funds and accounts.
• Develop and update safeguarding policies and governance docs.
• Embed safeguarding controls into BAU processes with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor risks, define controls, and escalate with remediation plans.
• Prepare management and board reporting on safeguarding effectiveness.
• Manage safeguarding audits and regulator engagement as primary contact.
• Drive continuous improvement and training across safeguards.
