Job summary

TNS is seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer for the Financial Markets Global IP Desk in London. The role focuses on incident management, IP networking, and vendor coordination to keep global networks available and secure.

You will work with Cisco/Arista/Juniper gear, monitor events, raise tickets, and escalate to engineering as needed. The position requires 24x7 rotation coverage and strong customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• ITIL Certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, communications software, and Visio.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Experience working with external customers and in NOC environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for global TCP/IP, VPN and MPLS networks (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS).
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista and Juniper routers and switches.
• Vendor management with Cisco and Juniper TAC.
• Second-level troubleshooting and debugging of network issues.
• Coordinate maintenance and change management activities per policy.
• Provide on-call escalation support on a rotating schedule.
• Incident management to restore services with minimal impact.
